1. What is Pilates?

Pilates is a low-impact exercise method designed to improve core strength, flexibility, posture, and overall body awareness. It focuses on controlled movements and proper alignment, benefiting both the body and mind.

2. Is Pilates for Men?

Yes! In fact, Pilates was created by a man names Joseph Pilates as a way of staying strong without the need for equipment while being held in a prison camp during World War 1. Another fun fact is that our studio as started by men for men

3. Do I need experience to try Pilates?

Nope! You don't need any experience at all to book an intro. Our instructors will guide you every step of the way and teach you how to safely use all of the equipment. You do, however, need to have experience in order to drop-in. If you want to book an intro class, click here!

4. What’s the difference between mat Pilates and equipment Pilates?

Mat Pilates involves exercises performed on a mat using your body weight for resistance. Equipment Pilates uses machines like the reformer, which add resistance and support to your movements.

5. How is Pilates different from yoga?

While both emphasize mindfulness and body awareness, Pilates focuses more on strengthening the core and stabilizing muscles through controlled, precise movements.

6. Is Pilates suitable for all fitness levels?

Yes! Whether you’re an athlete, recovering from an injury, or just starting your fitness journey, Pilates can be tailored to meet your needs and goals.

7. What should I wear to a Pilates class?

Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing that allows for a full range of motion. Grip socks are recommended for hygiene and safety.

8. Do I need to bring anything to class?

We provide all necessary equipment, but feel free to bring your own mat if you prefer. Just bring water and a positive attitude!

9. How do I book a class?

You can easily book classes by clicking here. If you’re a first-timer, we recommend starting with a private introductory session or beginner class.

10. What happens during my first session?

Your instructor will guide you through the basics of Pilates, assess your fitness level, and help you feel comfortable with the equipment and movements.

11. How often should I do Pilates?
The answer to this depends on so many factors (your goals, fitness level, schedule). Once a week is a great start but three times a week is ideal for maximum benefits.
